The name “Minnetrista” comes from the Dakota language, meaning “Crooked Water,” referring to the irregular shape of the nearby lakes.
To get to the airport From Minnetonka, take MN-7 East to I-494 South, then follow I-494 East toward MSP Airport. The commute is approximately 35–45 minutes.
