About Excelsior
Excelsior was home to a famous amusement park from 1925 to 1973, and a young Mick Jagger allegedly got the inspiration for the lyric “You can’t always get what you want” after being disappointed that a local Excelsior drugstore was out of his favorite flavor of cherry soda.
To get to the airport From Excelsior, take MN-7 E to I-494 S to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The drive is approximately 30-35 minutes.
